Local Living Project marketplace and customer preferences interface

Local Living Project is a Flutter marketplace for local vendors including farmers, food producers, restaurants, bakers, artisans, and retail shops. Customers can discover nearby businesses, place orders, and pay by card or EBT.

The platform includes customer commerce, vendor onboarding and operations, inventory, fulfillment, earnings, admin review, notifications, accessibility controls, and multilingual settings. The current delivery milestone adds server-controlled last-mile delivery workflows.

What Local Living Project solves

Local commerce marketplaces have to serve customers, vendors, administrators, and delivery operations without turning into a patchwork of disconnected tools. Local Living Project gives nearby businesses a shared digital channel for discovery, ordering, payment, fulfillment, and community-oriented commerce.

Commerce Beacon scope

Commerce Beacon worked across the mobile app, Supabase backend, vendor workflows, customer marketplace flows, payment architecture, accessibility controls, notifications, and operational tooling. The platform includes Stripe payment support and EBT checkout groundwork through Forage-oriented architecture.

The delivery work is intentionally server-controlled so routing, status, and fulfillment rules can be managed centrally instead of being hard-coded into a client app.

Why it matters

Local marketplaces are operational products, not just storefronts. Vendors need manageable inventory and earnings workflows. Customers need clear ordering and payment options. Administrators need review, safety, and support controls. Local Living Project brings those pieces into one cross-platform system.
